This winter is an ideal time to take a Sedona tour and explore all this incredible area has to offer. The weather is perfectly mild, often topping out in the mid-high ’50s. But even more appealing are the smaller crowds in Sedona. That means not only can you dine at all of your favorite restaurants without much hassle and go wine tasting with fewer people crowding the tasting rooms, it also means there will be fewer people out on the hiking trails and competing for Sedona’s most coveted views.
The weather here in Sedona has settled into its regular winter pattern of temperatures in the mid-high ’50s. Even though this may be our coldest weather of the year, it’s still perfect weather to go for a hike on the Courthouse Butte Loop, which just so happens to be adjacent to our property at the Canyon Villa Bed and Breakfast. Sedona is one of the most scenic areas in all of Arizona, and, thankfully, that beauty is easy to enjoy on great hikes like the Courthouse Butte Loop.
We sometimes get asked when is the best time to visit Sedona and to explore its amazing attractions like the Chapel of the Holy Cross. There’s not a straight answer to that question, as we enjoy Sedona all year long. Truthfully, Sedona’s weather is pretty mild year-round, and it’s a wonderful 4-season destination.
We often get asked when the best time to visit Sedona is. Without a doubt, one of the best times to visit these beautiful Red Rocks is during October and November. During the fall, the weather in Sedona is mild and enjoyable, and there are considerably fewer people out on the trails. Another great time to visit Sedona is between March and May when the weather is starting to heat back up but before it becomes too hot for hiking in the hills.
Whether on foot, by bike, via jeep tours, or some other mode of transportation, exploring the twists and turns of Sedona in the fall is one of our favorite things to do. Fall in Sedona is magical. As the light filters down and baths the rocks in its golden hues, it somehow makes the fall colors fo Sedona seem even richer.
